As a teacher I work hard to create a learning environment that fosters critical thinking and problem solving. I present information in the most compelling way possible including relevant examples from the field of study. I believe transference of knowledge is important and I work to break down barriers between individual topics, to make connections, and encourage cross-functional applications.

​I strongly feel that the social and emotional development of students is paramount and that good content mastery can only happen when students develop their confidence and feel safe to express their thoughts and ideas.

 

My approach is tailored to the specific learning needs of each student. I get to know the students as individuals so I can appropriately support and challenge them academically.

I enjoy travelling, being outdoors, meeting new people, and eating good food."
